air dry clay

i am not neat or careful
i don’t give myself time to be precise
my bowl i am moulding out of air dry clay
is lopsided and imprinted with half moon shapes
from my nails
and cracks from where I let it get too dry
and ridges along the edges
i don’t know how to smooth out
and didn’t try

and this is fine
and this is okay, because it is mine
and what i create
is inherently

perfect.
